Alamitos Beach is a coastal residential neighborhood in the southern portion of the city of Long Beach, right next to downtown Long Beach. Alamitos Beach is bounded by Junipero Avenue on the east, Shoreline Drive and Alamitos Boulevard on the west, 4th Street on the north, and Ocean Boulevard on the south. This neighborhood is very close to downtown but differs from living in downtown in that it is more residential, and residents enjoy quiet beachfronts and tree lined streets and close proximity to the ocean, and just a short distance to downtown and Belmont Shore commercial areas.
