Happy Mid-October!
As part of my customer service, I schedule and host educational seminars for my clients like yourself, and our very next one is this Saturday October 20 at 9 am. Our featured host is Estate Planning Attorney Curtis Kaiser of Kaiser Law Group.
So, why estate planning? Why bring up a topic such as this? Why do we care what happens after we are gone from this earth?
Well, for starters, when you own real estate in this country, it is mainly a type of land ownership under the legal definition of “fee simple,” is a permanent and absolute tenure of an estate in land with freedom to dispose of it at will, especially in full fee simple absolute.
Wow! Did you ever even think of that? That when you go out to buy a house or a condo or an apartment building, that your ownership of it will exceed your lifetime?
Sure, we do kind of know that because we do hear about people inheriting a house or other piece of property.
So because of this forever type of ownership, I believe it’s important to protect that forever asset in the best way possible.
Here enters estate planning.
Attorney Curtis Kaiser, the expert in estate planning will be covering the following in depth this Saturday:
